Wheelhouse Album Releases Amid Media Appearances, Critical Acclaim
Brad Paisley today releases his eighth studio album, Wheelhouse, amid a flurry of excitement, critical acclaim and media appearances, in addition to a redesigned BradPaisley.com, and the launch of the “Out of Your Wheelhouse” sweepstakes.
Wheelhouse is Paisley’s first self-produced project, with all of the album’s tracks written or co-written by Paisley. Recorded with his road band, the Drama Kings, at a converted farmhouse recording studio at Paisley’s Tennessee home, he set out to step outside his own boundaries to create his most adventurous album yet, with early reviews suggesting that he succeeded in style. Amid the praise for Wheelhouse: “Yes, Paisley knows what he does well. But ‘Wheelhouse’ proves he’s not content with playing it safe.”– Michael McCall, Associated Press “You hate to start a review off with something as PR Pollyanna as, ‘Hello, Grammy No. 4!’ But after listening to Brad Paisley’s latest ... ‘Hello, Grammy No. 4!’” – Chuck Yarborough, The Plain Dealer (Cleveland, OH) – Grade of “A” “It’s misleading to say that Paisley has never played better, because he’s always played this way — with mastery, confidence, daring and good humor.”– Tris McCall, The Star-Ledger (Newark, NJ) “Producing and writing/co-writing every song himself, Brad delivers 14 full songs that are incredibly thoughtful, well crafted and willing to take risks without losing what fans love most – his personality and clever songwriting. …one of the year’s best releases.”– Daryl Addison, GACTV.com Fans can be watching for Paisley all this week, with April 9 appearances on the syndicated Ellen DeGeneres Show and ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. Additional performances include NBC’s Tonight Show with Jay Leno on April 10, as well as ABC’s Good Morning America on Friday, April 12. Also part of the excitement surrounding the release of Wheelhouse is the launch of the all-new BradPaisley.com. Designed by Nashville based Idea Den, it features an extensive tour history section and fan club community, as well as being easily accessible on any mobile device. In celebration of the release of Wheelhouse, Sony Music Nashville and Sony Electronics are inviting fans to take a cue from Paisley’s first-ever self-produced album with the launch of the “Out of Your Wheelhouse” sweepstakes.
