Always enjoy Brad's videos. This one lost me!! The only thing that would make it interesting if a streaker ran across the desert. Brad must have inhaled more than he thought!

Sorry. I don't know if I'm just too old and cynical. Wandering around the desert saying remind me. I can't relate the song to the video at all.
Do you need to be in love to understand this?

No It's supposed to reflect on your past love or your first love. They have gone their separate ways, and think about how it was when they were once in love. The Desert I can't explain, but I thought it was neat.
